In this episode, Hamza Shaikh speaks to Angela Brady, Ex-President of the Royal Institute of British Architects.
It’s not often that you get to sit down with a president of one of the world’s most influential architectural bodies. She was elected in 2011 and was the 2nd ever woman to serve as a president for the RIBA in its 100-year history.
Now, I didn’t hold back from asking Angela the difficult questions. We spoke about gender inequality and debated about how filling quotas is a really bad idea. We also spoke about unpaid internships and discussed the deteriorating mental health of students.
This episode is really special because Angela has a powerful and motivating aura about her. I learned so many things from her including how the RIBA doesn’t get everything right – but also, how to take charge of your problems and how to be more confident as a student…
