This morning, Curtis Armstrong and Lisa Gallimore met with Eleanor Viney to find out more about the hospice, and as it’s Valentine’s Day we’d like to spread a little bit of love and share some stories about what makes Eden Valley Hospice so great and how our money will help support the incredible work they do.
Eden Valley Hospice has helped create intimate and truly special moments for patients and their families, including a couple staying at the hospice celebrating their 66th wedding anniversary during the pandemic. Lockdowns meant families couldn’t see each other, which wasn’t easy for anyone. Eden Valley Hospice made it possible for the couple to celebrate their anniversary with their loved ones remotely by organising afternoon tea to be delivered to the couple and their families which meant they were able to share this special occasion altogether, we can’t imagine how much this moment meant to the families involved.
Eden Valley Hospice also made it possible for one couple, who had been together for a long time to actually get married whilst staying at the hospice, they supported the couple and within five days they were married, this helped create extraordinary memories for the couple and their children, surrounded by their loved ones.
We can’t thank Eden Valley Hospice enough for the support they offer patients and their families, it is truly incredible.
