Education is very important within Indigenous Communities and a great deal can be learned from Traditional Owners. Indigenous people have done this for years to take care of the land.
Boola Katitjin is a building within Murdoch University and the largest Mass-Engineered Timber building in Western Australia. Timber is a renewable material, and all the timber used in its construction has already been regrown.
This timber university building honours Aboriginal Australians through design. This building strives to be environmentally and socially conscious.
This building was featured on BBC StoryWorks ā a series that shows how long-term thinking can lift people up without letting the planet down.
