BREAKING: London’s tallest new skyscraper, the controversial One Undershaft, has been approved for construction. The supertall tower will top out at the city’s aviation ceiling of 309.6-metres — the same height as the Shard, which is currently the UK’s tallest building.

Designed by Eric Parry Architects, the 74-storey skyscraper is set to add some 117,000-square-metres of office space into the City of London, alongside a podium and new public garden that projects from the structure. The new building will replace the existing St Helen’s tower on the site.
