Terms and conditions for job seekers
Effective from 12th June 2023.
These jobseeker terms set out the information applicable to jobseekers who wish to use the Site.
www.buildmytalent.com (the “Site”) is owned by Collabed Social Network Ltd and is registered in England and Wales under company number 12991554. By using the site and the services available on it, you are deemed to accept these terms and conditions and any additional terms.
- Use of site
1.1. The information and services available on the site are provided for the sole purpose of individuals looking for employment opportunities and career information. You may use, print and download information from the site for these purposes only. If you do or if you perform any other unauthorised processing of information on the site it shall be deemed a material breach of these terms and conditions which will entitle us to terminate the Services immediately without prior notice.
1.2. All copyright, database rights and other intellectual property rights in the site and the material available on the site belongs to us or its third party suppliers.
1.3 The additional terms, which also apply to your use of the Site are:
- Our Privacy policy, which sets out the terms on which We process any personal data We collect from you, or that you provide to Us. By using the Site, you consent to such processing and you warrant that all data provided by you is accurate;
2 Application of legislation relating to search for employment
2.1. Jobseekers need to be aware that this job board operates as a venue only and does not introduce or supply jobseekers to recruiters (or vice versa). This means that we do not:
- obtain confirmation of the identity of a jobseeker or to confirm that they have the experience, training, qualifications or authorisation to work in the position to be filled or that they wish to undertake the role to be filled;
- take any steps to ensure the jobseeker are aware of any requirement imposed by law or otherwise which must be satisfied by either of them to permit the jobseeker to fulfil the position to be filled;
- take any steps to ensure that it would not be detrimental to the interests of the jobseeker to fulfil the position to which they have applied;
- propose jobseekers to recruiters or provide any information about them or recommend their suitability;
- take up any references in relation to a jobseeker; or,
- make any arrangements for accommodation of jobseekers.0.
2.2. Our use of CVs and other personal information supplied by users of this Site is governed by our Privacy policy. Please click here to view our Privacy policy.
We offer a variety of career services via the Platforms. We want to be your lifelong career assistant. If your life perspective changes, or you are developing or reaching for new goals, we offer the right career support.
You can use certain Services without registration. The registration of a “Jobs by email” or an account will offer you additional functionalities and Services. To provide you with the specific Services under registration, we will store the date of your last activity at the Platforms (“Last Activity Date”), which can include the date of your registration, and last use of Services like applying for a job.
3 Your Account
3.1 If you enter into an agreement for an account, you can use additional Services including the social network and managing job applications. Should you create an account, you must provide a valid email address and a password which we will store to perform our obligation under this Agreement. You must provide information and data completely and truthfully. You are responsible to keep your contact data (especially your email-address) up to date and to secure that you can be contacted under the address. Should any of the provided data change, you must adjust and correct the data immediately. In the event of incomplete or false information provided by you, we shall have the right, to block your account and the access to our Platform temporarily or permanently and/or terminate your account.
3.2. You can create a profile within your account, which will consist of various jobseeker related pieces of information, your job preferences as well as attachments provided by you. It will also keep a record of your activity on our Platform. This information may be available to recruiters. We will collect and use Profile, Technical and Usage Data for data analytics purposes to improve the Website, products/services, marketing, user/Recruiters relationships and experience. This may involve building a profile of your interests based on the job specifications you have interacted with. This is necessary for our legitimate interest to ensure that website content is presented in an effective manner for you and for your computer/device.
3.3. If you choose to create a Profile with us, then we will keep your CV on file until you delete your account from our Database. We do not warrant or guarantee a minimum volume of storage capacity for your Profile.
3.4. Your profile will be searchable by recruiters. We may also indicate your profile to a recruiter for a particular job vacancy that matches your criteria. When you setup your profile, you consent to recruiters viewing, accessing and receiving details of your profile. This matching will be based on a profile of the job specifications you have interacted with recently.
3.5. Recruiters may invite you to use a video interview service where they send a link to your email address requesting you to pre-record a set of answers to the questions provided. If you use this service you give permission for the recruiter to view your video. This will only occur if you have explicitly applied for the job vacancy by completing the application form.
3.6. The option to change your settings on the type of materials, emails, content and/or notifications you would like to receive from us is located within your account area.
3.7. Please ensure that the Services under your account are only used by you.
4 Access to Social Network
Through your account you will have the opportunity to create and publish content. You shall not act illegally in the context of using our Services and/or violate any appliable law, particularly you shall not create or publish any content, that:
(a) is harassing, offensive, disparaging or discriminative because of gender, race, religion or beliefs, or state or spread untrue facts about a company, a natural or legal person; ;
(b) violates the rights of third parties and, especially copyright laws;, personality rights or other property laws;
(c) is confidential, e.g. includes business secrets;
(d) post links to content of third parties, that violates the regulations of these terms of use or other regulations; and/or
(e) violates applicable laws and/or these terms of use.
You fully indemnify us from all claims of third parties that arise from violating its obligations under these terms of use, i.e. by asserting the third party for violating their rights through the content created by you.
It is in our discretion to decide whether your content should be removed from our site and / or your account suspended at any time.
- Termination and amendment of terms
We amend these Jobseeker Terms from time to time. At any time you may check these Jobseeker Terms to ensure you understand the terms that apply at that time. Either party may terminate this Agreement with immediate effect and without cause.
